An investigation into the success of Swedish advertising agencies in adopting the internet and winning international awards

The research group

The project involves three researchers:

Gustav Sjöblom, project manager of The Digital Wonder, is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Technology Management and Economics, Chalmers University of Technology. He defended his PhD thesis at the University of Cambridge in 2007, entitled ”The political economy of railway and road transport in Britain and Germany, 1918-1932″. His main research focus is the modern history of transport and information technologies. Gustav’s webpage at Chalmers.

Ann-Sofie Axelsson is a lecturer/researcher in the Department of Technology Management and Economics, Chalmers University of Technology. She earned her PhD in 2004 on social interaction in shared virtual environments, an area within which she has published extensively during recent years. Ann-Sofie is currently conducting research on community knowledge environments, e-research, mobile telephony, digital advertising and learning physics in groups. Ann-Sofie’s webpage at Chalmers.

Oskar Broberg is assistant professor at the Department of Economic History at the School of Business, Economics and Law at Gothenburg University. Broberg finished his thesis in 2006, which dealt with the modernization of the Swedish financial sector in the early 20th century. He currently divides his research between different projects in business history – such as organic food, financial derivatives and digital advertising.
